Crochet Pattern Oakley the Owl



Whoooo can resist an adorable owl, especially one that doubles as a pillow? I certainly can’t. I adore owls! Crochet up this owlish cutie, and be sure to make his tummy in a color that coordinates with your nursery’s color scheme. He’ll be an irresistible addition.

BEAK

Rnd 1: Sc 6 times in 2nd ch from hook. 6 sts
Rnd 2: Sc twice in each st. 12 sts
Rnd 3: Sc in each st.
Fasten off with long tail.

EAR
Make 2.
With MC, ch 4.
Row 1: Dc 5 times in 4th ch from hook (ch 3 counts as dc). 6 dc
Rows 2 and 3: Ch 3, turn, dc in first dc, dc twice in each st across. 24 dc on row 3
Fasten off with long tail.

ASSEMBLY
Use whipstitch to attach the pieces on Oakley. Use the long tail to attach each piece.
Attach tummy to center front of body. Attach eyes slightly overlapping top of tummy. Attach pupils to center of eyes.
Stuff beak, and attach between and below eyes.
Flatten wings and attach one to each side of body.
Fold each ear in half and attach (along flat side) to body with cupped opening facing forward.
Weave in ends.
